Five days of making things with AI

No lectures. No worksheets. Every session is project-based — kids build something real using the same AI tools professionals use. They'll finish the week with a portfolio of projects they demo for parents on the last day.

👁️

Train an AI to See

Build an image classifier that recognizes objects, hand gestures, or faces — and learn why AI sometimes gets it wrong.

💬

Prompt Engineering

Learn to talk to AI effectively. Write prompts that get great results, and discover why bad prompts give bad answers.

🎨

Generate with AI

Create images, stories, and code with generative AI. Understand what it's actually doing under the hood — not magic, math.

🤖

Code with AI

Use AI as a coding partner. Build apps, games, and tools with AI-assisted programming — the way real engineers work.

🧠

Think Critically About AI

Investigate bias, test for mistakes, and learn when to trust AI — and when to push back. The most important skill of all.

🚀

Wherever Curiosity Leads

Every group is different. We follow the kids' interests — whether that's building a game, making music with AI, or exploring something nobody expected.

A typical day at camp

Each 2.5-hour session follows the same rhythm: learn a concept, explore a tool, build something cool, share what you made.

1

Warm Up (10 min)

An AI challenge or game to get brains firing. Can an AI guess your drawing? Can you spot the AI-generated image?

2

Learn (15 min)

A short, interactive intro to the day's big idea — how AI sees, talks, learns, or creates — with live demos, not slides.

3

Build (80 min)

The main event. Kids work on hands-on projects — training models, writing prompts, building with code. With no more than 8 kids, everyone gets real attention.

4

Break + Snack (10 min)

Step away from screens. Recharge. Snacks and drinks provided.

5

Show & Tell (15 min)

Kids share what they built with the group. On Day 5, parents join for a showcase where every student demos their favorite project.

Taylor, SRQ AI Kids instructor — Customer Engineer and Pine View parent

Taylor

Customer Engineer at a Big Tech Company · Pine View Parent

I'm a Customer Engineer at one of the big tech companies, working with some of the largest retail brands in the world. I completed my Master's in Software Engineering with a focus on AI in March 2026, and I also hold an Executive MBA. I have five kids — two at Pine View — and watching their excitement with AI inspired me to build this camp. I want to teach kids to use these tools thoughtfully, creatively, and critically.

Frequently asked

What ages is this for?

Grades 2 through 12, with separate tracks by age group. Elementary students (2nd–5th) use visual, block-based tools. Middle schoolers build more complex projects with guided coding. High schoolers work with Python, real ML libraries, and professional AI tools.

Does my child need coding experience?

No prior experience needed. The curriculum is designed so beginners learn from scratch, while kids with coding backgrounds get challenged with extensions and deeper projects. With no more than 8 kids, instruction adapts to each student.

What laptop does my child need?

A laptop is preferred (Windows 10+, macOS 12+, or ChromeOS with Chrome browser, 8GB RAM recommended), but an iPad will also work. All AI services and accounts are provided — just bring a working device. If you're unsure, just ask — happy to help.

Is the AI content age-appropriate and safe?

We take this seriously and do everything we can to keep content age-appropriate. Parents will receive a consent form to sign before camp begins, and we'll spend time teaching kids how to use AI safely and responsibly — it's a core part of the curriculum.

Where is camp held?

Sessions are held at our home in Sarasota, FL — close to Pine View School, with 10-gigabit fiber internet. Exact address is shared upon registration.

What's the refund policy?

Full refund if you cancel 30+ days before your session date. 50% refund for sickness or serious health issues within 48 hours of camp. No refund for no-shows or after the first day. We'll do our best to work with you, but these are the rules.

My child is worried it'll be boring/too easy. Will they be challenged?

Before camp starts, we'll talk with you about where your child is at — their experience, interests, and what excites them. During the week, we adjust the difficulty up to keep them challenged. Small groups mean no one gets left behind or held back.
